This past weekend, I had the opportunity to help do "makeup" for one of my good friend, a pageant winner for another pageant she was attending =) When she had asked me, I couldn't help but laugh really hard (ironic isn't it?)and told her that I wasn't good enough yet to do makeup for anyone, but myself. Well, I think I can do decently with foundation, blush, a bit of contour, some eyebrow grooming, but the eyes, the eye shadows are so difficult! Hence, I was not confident at all, but in the end, with the help of a friend, a fellow lover of makeup and beauty, and after a long time, my friend looks pretty good! =) Moral of the story: My eyeshadow skills are horrible, it's 1 thing to be able to do it on myself, my eye shapes, but it's another to do the same thing to another individual. I will practice, practice, blend, blend, and not apply so much color at once! I recently discovered Bloglovin through Nancy's blog and I really like it! Before, I used

Sometimes you just feel like a "loser," not technically, but that is how I feel right now because many things are not turning out the way I'd like them to. I've been feeling very frustrated with myself, but that's not really helping change anything. I believe that all successful people, despite the differences between the levels of success they achieve, have a lot of self discipline and control. Self discipline to wake up at the right time, exercise, focus, learn, and the self control to keep their eyes on the goals. To be successful in anything, you have to constantly learn and learn and practice! As for me, I tend to sometimes put time into what I like to do rather than what I should when I feel extremely stress at home. 24 hours is not enough time and it passes by so quickly, if we keep track of our activities and what we do each hour- the list may appear to be very unproductive for some of us. I've decided that I will not let time slip by anymore, I a
To be honest, of course it is bias since it is my personal opinions, but looking at fashion magazines (Americans) & images of models from makeup and fashion worlds, most of them are very light skin. I can never have green or beautiful blue eyes or skin that are as light as them and therefore- certain colors do not have the same affect.  I am all about embracing our individual qualities and making the best of them, but it'll be nice to see certain "looks" projected onto other types of models. 1st look: very light brows, bright red/orange lips, natural eyes 2nd look: Naturally defined brows, soft makeup, define cheeks, and soft muted mauve lips 3rd look: Very strong eyebrows, very light makeup, strong and bold deep mauve lips It's pretty how the sunset makes my hair red, but too much red is not good Such a funny story. I was lying on the grass hoping to take a quick picture and some people were walking by, I was so scared that I jumped up and sta
Tip: Instyle Magazine experts suggests using charcoal on the lids and line the eyes with a gray liner instead of black. "The only thing you want dark is your mascara." " I know CEOs who are proud of their deal making, but they have no discipline, no real basis for making their decisions. They're shooting from the hip under the assumption that everyone else is shooting from the hip. But some of their adversaries aren't.  Some are shooting with a telescopic lens and the unwary win-win adversary is the target. It's not a fair fight."-Start with NO by Jim Camp
Has anyone use Cover Girl's Outlast Foundation (the 2 in 1 that includes a primer/moisturizer & foundation)?  Basically, I didn't think that it would be a decent foundation because I am not really into products from Cover Girl (they should update the packaging for their products, especially the lipsticks) but it gives medium coverage without appearing too thick! Why I would use this foundation -affordable ($6-8 in drug stores, I'm not sure if this line is still available) - left side contains prep primer/moisturizer that has spf (I think it is spf 15) & it is odorless        -this is awesome because sometimes most of us (including myself) don't apply moisturizer before applying foundation and the foundation ends up appearing too dry and settles into our lines or pores - right side contains the foundation itself -foundation itself has light to medium coverage (buildable), it doesn't feel cakey or thick        -reduce appearance of large pores        Se

New YouTube Video: Longer Lashes with Sweet Oil w/Almond & Softer Skin w/ Olive Oil

Chúc Mừng Năm Mới Happy New Year        2011! New YouTube Video: Longer Lashes & Softer Skin with natural products It's been a really really long time since I have posted a video on YouTube, but finally, a video is here. It's just a rather short video on how to use Sweet Oil with Almond or Castor Oil to protect, strengthen, and grow longer lashes naturally.  I know that winter can make skin very dry and easily irritable- therefore- if you like, you can try olive oil. In a couple of days, or even over night, you can feel the wonderful difference in your skin . It will become much more soft, glowing, and cost effective. I do not have much music in my computer, therefore I audio swap a song from YouTube, and surprisingly, it is very nice to listen to ( I haven't listen to the whole song because it is still loading). To read my previous post on using the 2 products in the video to help grow longer lashes, Castor Oil vs. Sweet Oil w/Almond for longer lashes!   Happy
