Makeup Haul (17 products) + new business cards!

August 14,2010.
Beyoumakeupshop's business cards came in today via FedEx and they are very nice. Today marks another small step stone for the shop today =) Thanks to Office Depot & their premade templates! <3

E.L.F. Haul 1

 1. Complexion Brush
2. Eyeliner Brush
3. Tweezer- (haven't used it yet, but seems a bit too stiff)
4. Eyelid primer (haven't used it yet, will update)
5. Super glossy gloss
6. *Bronzer/Blush Duo

blush & contour, soft bristle (not round, rather angular)

strong, soft, yet durable and flexible

Both are highly pigmented & soft. Really nice blush color, but be careful when dipping brush in because they have fall outs easily and you wouldn't want to run into each others compartment

Smells fruity and very good, but too glossy and sheer/clear for me

7. Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Waterproof
Not too great on volume, but the only mascara from the ones I have tried thus far that helped my lashes stay up and not droop down. (After I use a blow dryer to heat my lash curler)

Better product for sensitive skin, it's great because it doesn't contain parabens or dyes, or other harmful chemicals.  Not widely available, but  I felt it didn't do much for me yet, a nice gentle cleanser though.

10. Vanicream Moisturizing Skin Cream

1lb worth of skin cream! What I love most about it is that it is NON OILY, NON GREASY, especially for those with oily skin like mine. Put it on and it absorbs into the skin. Of course, no parabens and harmful chemicals. It claims that it is  for those with extremely sensitive skin conditions, atopic dermatitis and eczema can now find products that are free of most common irritants. Goes on non-greasy. Moisturizes dry skin on the face, hands and body. Non-comedogenic.

11. Target crease brush Soft =)

 12. Foundation Brush (flat and dense enough)

 13. Estee Lauder High Gloss Ultra Brilliance

Smells very, very good, sort of like candy =) Nice gloss, but still rather sheer for me

14. Shisheido Very Watery Resistant Face/Body Sunscreen SPF 55
I <3 <3 LOVE this sunscreen, NO RESIDUE OF OIL= BEAUTIFUL FINISH

15. Estee Lauder Take It Away Makeup Remover =( Doesn't do a great job of removing makeup

I just wanted to show you my Revlon ColorStay Combination/Oily Skin Foundation in True Beige

 Dove Skin Revitalizer
I got these for the shop because my nephew had used it and I loved the way it felt on my skin =)

You can always enjoy the video for these products (the video doesn't contain ALL these products though) =)
Have a great weekend!

Create a relationship that encourages openness

Is it easier to be consumed in the life I want to live and and not pay attention to the life I have, especially to those who are most close to me. The balance between the external and internal worlds we balance and manage on a daily basis can overshadow how life moves swiftly and quickly through the lives of our loved ones. If I could go back a few years ago or 10 years ago, I would wish I'd take more time to be myself and to build a relationship of openness and encouragement. It's crazy how we can share our deepest fears and our entire worlds with friends, yet, within our own family, we are so afraid to share those secrets. Share your secrets and fears with your family, regardless of the situation, they will be there for you.

My love for makeup

It's never been easier to document visually anything than now.  Mobile devices makes the process faster, easier, and "sharable." I'm happy  +Google+   has made it easier than ever to have all your photos from years ago in one place, at least if you have Android. As today is a new year, looking back at photos of years ago remind us of what we loved and what we aspired to be. Below are a compilation of pictures of my "journey" to practice makeup, not only to look and feel better, but it gives me a chance to be creative. Learning makeup brings out the artistic qualities in me and indeed, it can be a great distraction during stressful times.  My interpretation from Black Swan (the movie) Yup, I even started a YoutTube channel! I only knew how to apply 2 colors, over and over every day, on every single look. I experimented with different mascaras for us girls who have no lashes. (Limpy, thin, lashes that don't curl= waterproof
