Body image

I don't like standard beauty - there is no beauty without strangeness.     ~Karl Lagerfeld We can't all look like super models. Although some people are just born with "it" or has incredibly fast metabolism where they can eat 10 burgers and still manage to stay thin.    I had assume the grass was greener on the other side, I assumed women who are more petite and slim would have an easier time shopping for clothes because everything should fit.  But if you are human, there is always something about your body that you may not like and wish you were built differently . (This has yet to be proven by the people's society scientifically or otherwise = ) I have always been very conscious and  hid them as much as possible. It's ironic because I never really wore dresses, yet I wore a lot of athletic and basketball shorts back then.   Wearing basketball shorts gives sort of a "free waiver," free of "judgement"  that you don't have to look &

A beginner bringing beauty to the eyes =)

I am merely a beginner in the world of makeup beautification.  I came into the makeup world a bit more late than other women and most of the blogs that I am following and learning from.  I have been dedicating some time to practice before sleeping and or early in the morning so that I can improve my skills and play with different colors and texture; kind of like painting or coloring a picture. This collage include some of the eye shadow colors and looks that I have been practicing. I try to take pictures of them and ask for feedbacks from others. I used to be afraid of criticism, but now, I am trying to not fear criticism, but be it's colleague.   Like I said, I'm a  beginner -) but we all have to start somewhere right? Other than special events and and those random days, I still am very much a tomboy at heart.  Some of the colors may resemble each other because the camera does whiten out the vibrancy of them but they are all different.  Most of the time, I do not draw my

The perfect blush "Sunset" by Josie Maran, What's yours?

I've recently went to the biggest mall I have ever been to in my life and I took some pictures of some of the "stores" that stood out to me.   I have yet gone to many malls in my lifetime and so I thought this mall was HUGE, it had EVERYTHING. The one I was most excited about and stood there and just stared? LANCOME! I have always seen LANCOME at Macys, but never on its own. It is very chic, I love the huge poster of Julia Roberts, and it was awesome how they had lipsticks displayed in the back glass window, each had its own glass compartment. I love the way LANCOME displayed their products, the structure, and overall design of its store.   I did not know until recently that MAC was owned by Estee Lauder, but of course, MAC was always packed. ORIGINS, I was not well aware of this brand until later on, but the appearance and structure was very eco friendly, well that's the basis of it's brand. I really like the way they hung the containers of their products

Wedding dresses for your perfect day.

Dedicated to my wonderful friend Kim Dangalo, Kimbo. Her wedding will be early August in Seattle and I am so excited to be able to attend a close friend's special day. For this occasion, I've scanned several pictures of what I thought were beautiful wedding dresses that I think would be beatiful for any bride on one of her happiest days from David's Bridal. ( I am not too fluent with describing fashion, almost everything below are beautiful to me.) I wish nothing but the most happiness and joy for you Kimbo, maybe a couple of random adventures here   and there. You are an amazing woman and I can't wait to hear all your stories of life after marriage <3 You are funny, incredibly smart and knowledgeable on many subjects, you are motivated, you are driven, and you can always make me smile. <3                              Beautiful dress and veil. Beatiful, especially the lower half, and the metallic accessories help make it stand out even more. Modern day pri

Gaga over Daisies

What is the most creative "thing" you have done with makeup? Last night I attempted a spider stuck in the window, but it wasn't anything really creative, but it does sound strange doesn't it? Spider stuck, no, entangled, in a window.  Although it wasn't great, my camera's flash is not working and I was unable to capture it. Have you seen this video with the Lady Gaga inspired makeup? All the black theatrical paint seems so thick, how'd they actually take it off after the tutorial?  I love the idea of using the mask as a template to dab on glitter and loose eyeshadow powder, so creative.  This video is very popular on YouTube and I can imagine why. I was really into the makeup artist's hair, I don't think I can ever pull anything like that off.   It seems odd that since this is a makeup tutorial done by a professional makeup artist, the model  really does have beautiful features, but her acne was very appearant, too much shiny makeup,  but those

Sunscreen, Queen Helene's products, and aspirin toner for acne/oily skin

SUMMER= SUNSCREEN. SUMMER= without SUNSCREEN= death wish for your skin. 1. I have been sunburn for the last couple of days because there are just those days where my brain was not attached to my body. As a result, burning sensations.  I can even see the "spots" that emerged, not to mention the feeling of inflammation when after using facial wash or moisturizer. I have been putting on a lot and A LOT and much needed moisturizer + fresh aloe vera to heal the sunburn and reduce the amount of redness. 2. Have many of you tried Queen Helene's Rasperrry + Pomegranate facial scrub or Queen Helene's Olive oil masque or the more popular Mint Julep masque? I'll do a review on them soon within this week. For me particularly, I find it difficult to review certain products like these other to describe the texture and the way it makes your face feels after using them on, but the claims are difficult to tell at times because the results are not instantaneous(i.e. mak
