part of my peace is practicing makeup

2010 is soon to over and 2011 will be here in approximately 1 day. I think after you pass 23 years of age, you tend to reminiscence more on your age and associates it with your lack of accomplishments. Its like that time in college when you save the entire day to finish a paper or study for a test, yet you become so distracted with everything else and tries to do everything else. In the end, not much was done. Time waits for no woman or man. I know at times things happen in our lives and we loose our hope, faith, and our strength in the world, loosing what we had in your heart that keep us going. I am not anyone to give advice to others (because sometimes good intentions lead to otherwise),but I know these past 2 years have been very difficult for me. I went through new changes and emotions that I never felt before-but these things are normal, human nature I would say, that happens as you eventually grow older. I may not have been as strong as I should and would have like to

Being yourself & just working hard because you can

Hi everyone, did you missed me? *Smile* I've been working really hard lately since it's the holidays, retail jobs loves holidays =) especially Christmas. The internet still doesn't work yet, hopefully by the 22nd, I don't have to go to Barnes & Noble, Boba, or coffee shop, or other places to use the internet =( This job has been really fun because it makes me dress up (because I never really dress in anything outside than my jeans) Today, I even wore a DRESS, yes, I said it, a dress with black and red stripes, along with cute side pockets with gray tights. I'd never really though I'd wear this because I've always been self conscious about my huge calves, but I've seen other people who are about my size wear them and they they look pretty- =) A little stepping out of the box for me before 2010 ends. Dress for yourself, professional, comfortable, and nice. A coworker of mine says I randomly smile, or asked- I just said "I'm grateful to b

Beyoumakeupshop's Holiday Photoshoot Ad 1

I feel a bit conceited taking so many pictures of myself, but I've been trying to work on an ad for Beyoumakeupshop to advertise the products for this Holiday season, but I am horrible at Photoshop and making ads =( Here goes my very first ad! Here are some photos hopefully I can use and will use to make something neat in time for the holidays to advertise for Beyoumakeupshop!!!  =) In terms of the eye makeup, all the colors are from the 42 Double Stack palette from Beyoumakeupshop & the face being the Laura Gellar face primer & Loreal's True Match Foundation. Loreal Paris TrueMatch Foundation vs. Revlon Colorstay In terms of this foundation, I like it more than Revlon's ColorStay because the texture is not as thick. I like more natural and lighter foundations, but with that being said, the TrueMatch doesn't look as nice around my mouth area and other parts of the face. I was at Target today and tried on one of the No 7 Foundation and I just chose a rand

First Goodbye

This specific day I said goodbye to something, the first of its kind in my life.It is difficult to let go when something has become part of your life and you will not be the same after it is gone.  I will do my best to focus on other things in my life and getting things done.  I don't regret it though, I'm grateful because we are not rocks nor stones that are untouchable and life brings us events and people to change our lives. Thank you for everything you have given me I now have a thing for rings and earrings, long earrings. The one above is my favorite (Charlotte Russe), it reminds me of mango leaves for some reason and  that leads to the book The House on Mango Street that I will read by the end of this year. Have you ever been in an experience where you never want to be in ever again? I never want to be so cold again, therefore, I always wear a small camsole (is that right?) inside all of my shirts.  I think i'm kind of into lacey clothing items.   In terms of

2 Tips on how to organize your makeup for the holidays & save space!

Problem #1: Too many lipsticks? Or forget what lipsticks you have? Or even what they look like? I have lipsticks that I do not use too often, or I forget what the colors actually look like, or I misplace one here under the bed, 1 in the backpack,etc.. I'd like to have all of them in 1 place! Well actually, I'd like to be reminded of what colors I have...   Tip #1:  Take out your lipsticks from their tubes and put them into these weekly medicine cubes .  I love this trick! Now I can see all the colors that I have, I wont have to worry about missing lipsticks, and seeing the colors make me want to wear them all the time! * (Remember to use a permanent marker to write the name of the brand and color down in case you want to purchase them in the future) Problem #2: Too much makeup, yet not enough space?  For the crazy makeup gurus out there, mine is nothing to theirs- but I'd like to save some space to be able to organize so that all my main products I use everyday

Napa Valley, California with my friends

I wanted to share w/you some pictures from a recent Napa Valley trip with some of my wonderful friends from Southern California. Although I do live up North and had chances to go to Napa this past year, this was my first time and I tell you, it was so BEAUTIFUL!    The rain made it incredibly cold at times but seeing some of my friends I haven't seen since I moved from LA was really awesome because it felt like old times. As we drove through the valley, most of the grape vines were bright yellow and had turned colors already but the views were gorgeous!   We headed to the Castle and tasted 5 wines of our choice + our own tours for $16 per person. I'm not too much of a wine person and I tried tasting the ones that sound familiar. After the 4th one, I was lightheaded already =( Overall, the wine tasting was fun and we all enjoyed them   What was even more special was that we even squeeze in 5 or 6 games of mafia! =) Although I'm not a great mafia player because
