I need to challenge myself (letter to self)

Today I walked and walked from place to place in the rain- I was at times very discouraged to keep doing what I did. I didn't have to- but it is what I need to, for myself.  Since my internship with the Southwestern Company-selling books door to door- I told myself I would not let myself regret chances/opportunities again. I did not do as great as I had wanted to with the internship. That summer of selling books was suppose to instill in me strong work ethics- to push me to my limits and beyond. It did.  I promise myself from then on that I would not give up on myself because "things" I will encounter are difficult. Each experience, I would push myself to do better, to be better. For me, I feel that I need to go through many difficult and challenging experiences so that I can grow, define myself, and be that person I've always wanted to be. This is my barely second day-but I am proud of myself for walking and walking (well, driving too) when I felt that I should

First time wearing red lips & tights

Have you ever sufferd one of those times where you  put on makeup and the right lip color, even a new hairstyle-- most important of all, you think you look nice . When the pictures come out- "What?! Is that how I look on cameras?!" *Runs away and hides face* Last night for friend's birthday party- I wore red lipstick for the first time , it was a goregous matte red with hint of orange. My FIRST TIME wearing such a strong color. I was using a foundation that I had thought was a bit too light before- but knowing me, I forgot. I had looked at myself in the mirror  and gave myself the thumbs up*Thumbs up* before leaving the house. My face looked like a semi round shaped ball that is pale white! The lesson here is despite what you end up "looking like" on cameras- angles and lights do play major roles in how one looks in pictures, picutres don't necessarily capture everything. Experiementing with differerent makeup colors, hair styles,  and clothes is g

Fall Season From Around the World

Today has been cloudy and cold, even some rain earlier.  Fall and Winter seems to always bring with them feelings of sadness, don't you think so? It must be really beautiful in other parts of the world, well the other states even, when leaves transform colors and they fall on your head. Or when you jump over a pile of them and giggle until your stomach hurts. California-eh, not so much. Below are some photos I've found online of amazingly gorgeous of what Fall season is like in other parts of the world. WOW, isn't this gorgeous in Russia?! "Old bridge over low water" Season end in Cismigiu Garden of Bucharest, Romania I am not sure where this breathtaking tree is from, somewhere in the USA =) Look at how different the textures appear to be within the trees (Romania) Surreal & edited picture of Spielberk castle, Brno, Czech Republic.  Pumpkin patches here in the States! ....Finally, Fall season in Northern California, USA -_- Califo

humid weather & dry skin

I know there are a lot of beauty gurus and females out there who have the heart of an entrepreneur, therefore,  I think INC is super useful.  I subscribe to their newsletters and I get a lot of really useful and interesting articles, not to mention lessons on leadership, marketing, sales, etc.. =) I highly recommend this site! Try it and let me know if it's useful for you =) During my visit to Wisconsin a couple months ago, I used my Rimmel's Fix & Perfect Primer, liquid eyeliner, some blush, and a darker red lipstick with hair tied in a bun. I recently realize that my skin does better and has less zits in places that are more humid. This is strange since my skin was very oily- but now it is rather dry, even before Fall approache! If your skin has recently become more dry due to increase in temperature as October is ending, try what I've been doing for this past week- use olive oil .   I just put some on my face and leave it over night because my other moistur

Fall Night 2010 Look (my most improved makeup work so far)

I'm blogging crazy tonight. I've been practicing with makeup once again. Eyebrows One problem I have is I don't know how to fill in my brows, I have watched many YouTube gurus' tutorials on the art of filling in brows, but I can't do it yet. Is it because all the hairs are growing in one way and they should be trimmed more? Face Primer & foundations stippling brush & method   New thing I've tried is mixing my Rimmel's Fix (left) & Perfect Face Primer & my Missha BB cream #23 together (right). BB creams are great because they are suppose to help with blemishes and it's good for your skin, yet the color choices are rather limited, and well, it comes off with a "white cast." it's one of the recent hottest products in Asia. Therefore I mixed it with my Fix & Perfect (left) to give it some color, mattify the skin, and to even out the skin tone.   Why I rarely wear foundations Like I've mentioned in my pr

Which will help your eyelashes to grow longer? The result of Castor Oil vs. Sweet Oil with Almond

Sweet Oil With Almond vs. Castor Oil Which product won in the race for naturally enhancing the growth of my eyelashes within a time frame of 3 weeks? My eyelashes after applying both for 4 days (Left eye: Sweet Oil w/Almond vs. Right eye: Castor Oil) 3 weeks later...the results: Now I actually look like I have eyelashes growing out of my eyes, like the way eyes are suppose to be=) WHOOO!!! Prior to using these 2 products, my lashes were rather sparse and very short; not to mention thin.  Even after applying mascaras, they didn't really look like much of anything because they always droop down anyways.  I realized it was the eyelash curler I was using (Revlon, I think) sucked and did not do much. Even after I curled them, the lashes would droop down again. Until one day, Xteener from Youtube stated that she heats her eyelash curler with her blow dryer and that is what I have been doing since then (ELF's eyelash curler for $1.00 is a great product). This trick of heating up

The Face Shop products come to Beyoumakeupshop!

Beyoumakeupshop has now added a Korean base brand, THE FACE SHOP , products containing natural ingredients that smell really good! Even if you don't get them from our shop, try them! I'm so excited because they are totally awesome! Before I always wanted to try Korean products but they were so difficult to get a hold of, but now, it's better =)  I am very into skin these days because I've always had acne & other skin issues =)  Puberty and the teenager years are over, but these problems are still here. I'm excited and I hope you find these products useful/helpful if you'd decide to try them! From my personal experience, I have always been more hesitant when it comes to trying out new skincare products versus that of makeup products. Why? Because with makeup products, you can see the results right away, you can see whether the foundation is right for your skin or if the concealer will cover the blemishes, etc...   However, with skincare products, it

Fall 2010 Dark eyes & bold lips vs. Dark eyes & glowing cheeks

Dark eyes & bold lips vs. Dark eyes & glowing cheeks Fall 2010     vs.  Inspiration Diane Von Furstenburg's 2010 Fall Runway Makeup trend of a woman " changing, evolving like a butterfly." He "layered lids and undereyes with a black cream shadow, and gave the inner corners a little sparkle" and the result "is multidimensional eye makeup that looks a little different from each angle." My trial I've adapted this look to be softer for this upcoming Fall season , something more "wearable" for my personal taste , with some color into the inner corner . I've always added glowing cheeks with a bronzer and highlighter and , semi nude matte lips with touch of "bronzey" eyeshadow. *Whenever I practice with makeup, I don't often create the same look for both of my eyes. It's usually 1 look for 1 eye, another look for the other, or another version of it with something different. (Just in case you
