New YouTube Video: Longer Lashes with Sweet Oil w/Almond & Softer Skin w/ Olive Oil

Chúc Mừng Năm Má»›i Happy New Year        2011! New YouTube Video: Longer Lashes & Softer Skin with natural products It's been a really really long time since I have posted a video on YouTube, but finally, a video is here. It's just a rather short video on how to use Sweet Oil with Almond or Castor Oil to protect, strengthen, and grow longer lashes naturally.  I know that winter can make skin very dry and easily irritable- therefore- if you like, you can try olive oil. In a couple of days, or even over night, you can feel the wonderful difference in your skin . It will become much more soft, glowing, and cost effective. I do not have much music in my computer, therefore I audio swap a song from YouTube, and surprisingly, it is very nice to listen to ( I haven't listen to the whole song because it is still loading). To read my previous post on using the 2 products in the video to help grow longer lashes, Castor Oil vs. Sweet Oil w/Almond for longer ...

Gorgeous Holiday inspired looks & tutorials!

I know I've been posting a lot, but sometimes my internet works, sometimes it doesn't. If I don't post, more will just add up. As you guys know, Christmas is coming soon and there are many YouTube makeup tutorials for holiday looks. A lot of the ones I've seen include some gold, cranberry or red, and well, GOLD and they are GORGEOUS! If you are looking for some makeup ideas to wear for the holidays, hopefully the 3 tutorials below will help =) Some may be bolder than what you normally wear, but try them =) Video #1 Misschevious's Beatiful Golden Cranberry Holiday Makeup   Video #2 JulieG713's  Gorgeous & Bolder  Holiday Golden Plum Sparkle   and Video #3 LadyMakeup1's Very pretty Reddish Christmas (Her voice is so beautiful to listen to!)   ************************************************* After watching these holiday tutorials, how can anyone not be tempted to try these beautiful looks and practice?       Eyes Base/primer:...

Blue eyes & orange lips

I wanted to play with Beyoumakeupshop's 42 shimmer double stack palette I was inspired by this Fall's beauty trend of subtle makeup and somewhat "orange" lips. The look on the left was the natural Fall makeup trend I was hoping to end up with- but instead of smoky black & grays, I ended up with gold/orange and blue ( a tribute to my lovely UCLA) . I honestly tried to zoom into the picture and saw smoky blues- but it was a bit tad difficult to pull  this smokey under the eyes look (on myself) because the colors fall into the sockets and its not as easy to see it until you have very light skin. This picture shows (the blues) appearing to be very "smeary" and has no depth in colors (this camera didn't capture the colors well enough) because I tried using multiple variations of blue and some grays. The original model has a thicker and more define line at the top and slowly faded down. I didn't have any orange lipstick and so patted...

No blue, smokey black eyes instead

I would love to try green contacts in the future For this look, I used Revlon Colorstay Foundation and I didn't like it. I didn't like it when I used it before and I had thought, I can try it again.  The coverage is relatively in the medium range, but it just appears a bit thick and cakey not a nice of a texture.  Maybe makeup artists love this foundation, but maybe it is me, not applying it correctly. I did this about a week ago, I'm not sure if I applied moisturizer and primer or not- maybe that's why. Or maybe because of the color I chose, it's too dark for my skin tone? The "Stippling brush" I had used isn't a real stippling brush and it took a while to stipple, so I just applied this w/a normal foundation brush.  I always wished for world peace as a younger kid. I was trying on some fake individual lashes, they look a bit scary? Always try to apply makeup in natural light because indoor lights play trick...

I tried to be a model! =) Extreme eyes

I went outside of my comfort zone and tried something different with my look and I had just dyed my hair. I tried to emmulate this look, including the pose from the original model. I tried contouring the nose, exaggerate the cheekbones, and failed at the pose because I didn't know my hands were the opposite side. It was so much fun to step outside of my comfort zone!*P.S. if you look closely at my nails, you can tell there are color smearings around my finger- I used my Smashbox cream eyeliner for my nail colors ! =) Original picture   Can you see the contouring of the nose?

5 Wet n Wild lipstick swatches, why customers' reviews are important to a business, WIN free eyeshadow!

Practicing makes perfect, repetition with practice is even better I had told myself I'd dedicate an hour every day to practicing makeup applications but the past couple of weeks have been so busy for me that I haven't been able to- but then whenever I do practice, I always try the same groups of colors on the eyes and same techniques. My goal is next time I practice, I will have a YouTube video on and practice along with the guru as well. You assume once you watch something, you can replicate the same colors and techniques after- but not I. I do not want Beyoumakeupshop's customers nor my friends, or people I know to think I am always about promoting our own products. I really do try to find different ways to use the products, research on the products and reviews, and I do try to test on myself prior to adding them. I have not tested nor use everything in the Shop, but hopefully over time I will be able to. Why customers' reviews are important to a business I bel...

First time wearing red lips & tights

Have you ever sufferd one of those times where you  put on makeup and the right lip color, even a new hairstyle-- most important of all, you think you look nice . When the pictures come out- "What?! Is that how I look on cameras?!" *Runs away and hides face* Last night for friend's birthday party- I wore red lipstick for the first time , it was a goregous matte red with hint of orange. My FIRST TIME wearing such a strong color. I was using a foundation that I had thought was a bit too light before- but knowing me, I forgot. I had looked at myself in the mirror  and gave myself the thumbs up*Thumbs up* before leaving the house. My face looked like a semi round shaped ball that is pale white! The lesson here is despite what you end up "looking like" on cameras- angles and lights do play major roles in how one looks in pictures, picutres don't necessarily capture everything. Experiementing with differerent makeup colors, hair styles,  and clothes is ...

Fall Season From Around the World

Today has been cloudy and cold, even some rain earlier.  Fall and Winter seems to always bring with them feelings of sadness, don't you think so? It must be really beautiful in other parts of the world, well the other states even, when leaves transform colors and they fall on your head. Or when you jump over a pile of them and giggle until your stomach hurts. California-eh, not so much. Below are some photos I've found online of amazingly gorgeous of what Fall season is like in other parts of the world. WOW, isn't this gorgeous in Russia?! "Old bridge over low water" Season end in Cismigiu Garden of Bucharest, Romania I am not sure where this breathtaking tree is from, somewhere in the USA =) Look at how different the textures appear to be within the trees (Romania) Surreal & edited picture of Spielberk castle, Brno, Czech Republic.  Pumpkin patches here in the States! ....Finally, Fall season in Northern California, USA -_- Califo...
